The project opens a metaphorical and physical gateway within the particular architectural structure of the ward, transforming vacant premises and stores, currently untraversable, into hypothetical walkable trajectories.
A video installation work that becomes a wish for a mutation of the private and closed commercial establishment into a traversable public space.

An interactive and relational process
From the outset, the process was dynamic and open to the possibility that the various stages, from concept to implementation, could accommodate fertile contaminations due to the interaction with the neighborhood and the owners of the commercial premises. A flair for the unexpected that opened the project to a multiplicity of assumptions and course changes. A relational approach that was the starting point and initial spark for a path of reappropriation of the neighborhood through fusions of collective memories.
In the final exhibition, presented as part of the 2019 edition of art+b=love(?) festival, Sonia Andresano’s artistic research was related to the experience proper to the places. Videos and pictures told the two souls of the ward: the one related to the sea and the harbor, and the one related to the businesses along the Archi’s front.
