2030 GOALS
The project is for 50 high school students from Calabria and Campania and is aimed at equipping them with the tools to imagine a future as a protagonists, to enhance their potential and prepare for adult life.
The empowerment and culture outreach program will be developed annually through thematic camps, mentoring actions and community engagement. The goal is the development of skills, including noncognitive and social-emotional skills, for personal and cultural growth, in a context, such as the post-pandemic one, where the importance of putting interpersonal skills and interdisciplinary knowledge back at the center is emerging more than ever.
The Be Your Hero methodology as a skills training ground
The Be Your Hero methodology devised by Sineglossa was chosen by Unipolis Foundation as one of the pillars of the “skills gymnasium” envisioned by the project. The life skills strengthening course is curated by Alessia Tripaldi, director of Training and Research for Sineglossa and creator of the methodology.
Collective workshops happening face to face and online will allow the participants to gain awareness and skills that are fundamental to facing a course of study or employment, stimulating individual responsibility and empathy. Participants and attendees will be encouraged to discover and cultivate their talents and to the exercise of active citizenship.
Scheduled activities
Sineglossa’s work is divided, for each year, into 2 in-person campuses that will take place in the fall and summer, and 2 online workshops that will take place in extracurricular hours.
Campus Be Your Hero | Art Skills
Artist: Giacomo Giovannetti, visual artist
The first campus speaks the empathetic and creative language of art – and especially graphic design – to stimulate in the participants a sense of awareness about their personal worth through an artistic process, facilitated by the artist, that will result in the representation of the hero within.
Campus Be Your Hero | Sport Skills
Trainer: Laurent Piemontesi, ADD training manager.
The second campus consists of physical and mental training under the guidance of Laurent Piemontesi, one of the founders of the Yamakasi collective and a central figure of reference in the development of theArt du Déplacement (ADD). The methodology, in this case, combines sports discipline with the daily conquest of new “superpowers” (i.e., new life skills) through a peer review process of the different talents in the group.
