Previous stages
The works resulting from the entire two-year journey, during which-thanks to workshops, panels, talks, an open call and four urban labs-more opportunities for encounter and collaboration-distant and physical-between local communities and artists will be on display in Milan for the first time. Each workshop involved, in all stages of development, groups of activists working directly in the area of intervention, both in the early stages of identifying the issues to be addressed and in choosing the art project to be developed.
A preview of the projects, then still in the works, had been presented as part of the Digital Awareness exhibition last June at the ISEA2022 in Barcelona, the most important International Symposium on Electronic Arts. The event was part of the program of the New European Bauhaus Festival, the new paradigm of thought and action by which President Von der Leyen invited Europe to re-imagine living from a multidisciplinary and co-design perspective, combining beauty, sustainability e inclusion.
