FOOD DATA DIGESTION is a research and production process that integrates art and Artificial Intelligence from an ecosystem perspective, so that each element can learn and evolve through the other.
And We Thought is an art project taking place in Turin from April to June 2022 with the involvement of visual artist Roberto Fassone, creative technologist Andrea Zaninello, and an Artificial Intelligence, within the program of Play with Food – La scena del cibo. An artist residency open to the public fuels an installation presented as part of the masterclass aimed at young artists, to experiment with computer experts on an unconventional use of technology: a cross-fertilization path to explore the potential of distorting the perception of reality in artificial intelligence.

Masterclass on body, art and artificial intelligence
The opera And we thought | Food Data Digestion will be the focus of a prototyping process led by lecturers Roberto Fassone, visual artist, Andrea Zaninello, creative technologist (Sineglossa), and Federico Bomba, artscience designer (Sineglossa). During the masterclass, skills will be acquired and prototype projects on the possible uses of AI in live performance will be created, as well as an opportunity for participants to propose evolutions for the future of Food Data Digestion, which will see the co-production of a new artist.

ARTIST RESIDENCY

Bodoni Library / Spazio B, Turin
An artist residency kicks off the project, transforming for three days the Bodoni Bookstore / Space B In Roberto Fassone’s creative and interactive space. The artist, with audience participation, collects through AI new hallucinogenic artificial experiences that flow into an artist’s diary and enrich the development process of the work, in a journey in search of visions, hallucinations and personal discoveries.
