What is
A practical tool that translates the principles of the NuGamers Handbook – our guide for developing gender-inclusive curricula and learning pathways in the gaming sector – into concrete, replicable, and adaptable activities for real educational contexts. A collection of tools designed to build a more inclusive and engaging education that supports women and girls in addressing the challenges they face in the gaming industry.
It includes activities focused on:
- Engaging girls in Game Development
- Training challenges and solutions
- Job searching and empowering girls to compete in the Game Industry job market
The activities are designed for use in classrooms, workshops, or structured training programs. For each activity, objectives, requirements, step-by-step instructions, required time, necessary or recommended materials, and tips for effective implementation are provided.
Who it is designed for
- School, VET (Vocational and Educational Training) and HE (Higher Education) staff in the gaming and creative tech sector (managers and programme leaders, teachers and trainers, guidance counsellors and orientation staff)
- Learners and early-career professionals (girls and women interested in or already studying game development, gender-diverse individuals navigating game-related education and work).
