What is CERV funding programme

Launched in 2021, the CERV program is set to run for seven years with a budget of over 1.5 billion euros. This program aims to fund training projects, capacity building, and exchanges of good practices between authorities and organizations in EU countries. It can also assist organizations in promoting awareness of civil rights and the benefits that EU policies bring to the daily lives of Europeans. Finally, the program contributes to the development and implementation of EU policies and legislation through surveys, studies, and analyses. The program also supports the development of the capacities of the main networks at EU level, particularly EQUINET, the EU network of equal opportunities organizations.

The primary groups eligible for funding include civil society organizations operating at local, regional, national, and transnational levels, as well as European networks, public authorities (including equality and human rights bodies), national, regional, and local authorities, cities and municipalities, academic/research institutions, think tanks, judiciary, international organizations, and other stakeholders actively promoting EU values and rights.

The video shot in Ancona

This year, the CERV program’s promotional campaign featured a 2-minute video documentary showcasing 4 successful projects funded by the program over the past year. Among these, Machines for good, a project in collaboration with Baltan Laboratories, Ohme, and Fundación Zaragoza Ciudad del Conocimiento, where we designed and implemented workshops in schools and public events to engage communities through the use of AI. Anna Caramia and Tommaso Sorichetti from Sineglossa, the project coordinator, were interviewed to share the project’s objectives and activities in just 2 minutes.
