You can now apply to GENERATIVA, the free academy offering skills and tools for a critical and operational understanding of generative artificial intelligence in the cultural and creative sector.
Who is behind it? Designed with the scientific direction of Sineglossa in partnership with Matera Hub, Università L’Orientale di Napoli, Basilicata Creativa, and Tlon, GENERATIVA delivers hybrid training—combining on-site sessions in Naples with online modules—tailored for:
Professionals and creatives in the GLAM sector (galleries, libraries, archives, museums)
Practitioners in the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI)
Artists
Why choose Generativa?
The project was created to address a strategic gap in training, moving beyond purely technical instruction on AI. What sets Generativa apart is its multidisciplinary approach, combining legal, economic, technical, and cultural perspectives on generative AI.
Participants will have the chance to experiment directly with generative tools and models to create original content, design interactive cultural experiences, and develop innovative communication and curatorial strategies.
Special focus will be given to the transformation of art and culture in the age of automation, the future of digital cultural heritage, and the need to build a critical understanding of how AI is being adopted across the creative industries. The training program includes:
Opening Campus in Naples (October 3–4, 2025):
Two days of immersive workshops and networking, open to all academy participants.Asynchronous Online Modules (October 6–17, 2025):
Foundational content to build a shared knowledge base around ethics, data literacy, and legal issues.Specialized Live Online Tracks (October–December 2025):
Tailored sessions for three specific target groups:A dedicated course for artists

Final Campus in Naples (January 23–24, 2026):
An in-person co-design lab where participants will finalize the projects developed throughout the program.
Topics covered include ethics and social implications of AI, Data literacy with an intersectional feminist perspective, Prompt design, Visual and textual communication, Algorithmic curation, Digital cultural heritage, Recommendation systems. The faculty includes experts such as Luca Baraldi, Paolo Grigis, Gaia Tedone, Gabriella Giannachi, Giulia Taurino, Mateus Miroslaw, Valentina Tanni, Daniele Solombrino, Francesco D’Isa, Rachele Sprugnoli, Emanuele Rodolà, Simone Arcagni, Andrea Colamedici, Diletta Huyskes, Martina Bagnoli, Alex Braga, Bernardo Magnini, Daniele Bucci, and Stefano Capezzuto (Ecosistemica).
The program follows a hybrid format, combining in-person and online learning, and is entirely free.
How to Apply
GENERATIVA is a free, limited-capacity academy, with a select number of spots to ensure high-quality training. Travel and accommodation costs for the two in-person campuses in Naples are the responsibility of the participants. Training will be held in Italian.
To take part, you must complete the application form by September 5, 2025. Applications will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Belonging to one or more priority groups: young people, women, and people with disabilities
The quality and relevance of the motivation expressed
Completeness of the application
Participation in project focus groups
Residency in Southern Italy (Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia, or Sicily)
In the event of a tie in scores, priority will be given based on the order in which applications are received.
Participation in the program is mandatory. A maximum of 30% absence is allowed across the entire course, provided that the participant attends the Opening Campus on October 3–4.
