What is
The methodology developed by Sineglossa on cooperation between art, activism and artificial intelligence for community empowerment. The presentation includes:
- Introduction to the AI4FUTURE project, from which this research comes from, a network of international urban labs activated between 2020 and 2022, in which 4 artists addressed social challenges on post-Covid-19 mobility using artificial intelligence;
- Methodology of creating a cross-sectoral ecosystem in six steps: subject choice, audience development, activist community involvement, artists involvement, artwork development, and dissemination of results.
Who it is designed for
- Artistз who in their research question the role art should play in addressing the social, environmental, and economic challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
- Activistз interested in understanding how art and artificial intelligence can be tools for spreading one’s voice, and how to support their reasons by doing advocacy through innovative and creative use of data.
- Coders working with AI, who by interacting with artists and activists will be able to make AI useful to communities, from a “tech for good” perspective.

AI4FUTURE is a project coordinated by Sineglossa, together with the MEET Digital Culture Center, the first international center for Digital Art and Culture in Milan, Espronceda – Lemon Grass, the Barcelona-based Institute of Art and Culture, V2_Lab for the Unstable Media, the Dutch center for Art and Media Technology, and Sardinia Theater As an associate partner.
