What you find here

At a time when digital transformation is reshaping the way cultural heritage is enjoyed and valued, Emilia-Romagna and Marche, an area with more than 800 libraries and about 1,000 museums and archives, are working together as a system to respond to this challenge. The Emilia-Romagna and Marche Hub is part of a national network of 10 training centers under the framework of Dicolab.Culture to Digital, the new training system for the digital transformation of cultural heritage, promoted by the Ministry of Culture – Digital Library as part of the PNRR Culture 4.0, implemented by the National School of Heritage and Cultural Activities and funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU.

Between March 2025 and June 2026, the Emilia-Romagna and Marche Region Hub offers more than 40 training courses in different cities including Bologna, Modena, Cesena, Rimini, Ravenna and Ancona.

The training programme

Through more than 40 free courses distributed throughout the two regions, the Dicolab HUB. Culture to Digital establishes physical meeting places to help cultural institutions address and manage the digital transition of cultural heritage.

The educational offerings of the Emilia-Romagna and Marche Hub, designed and managed by the partnership, will be developed over 3 semesters, from March 2025 to June 2026, and will include courses focused on the topics of digital transition in the cultural heritage sector, such as:

  • designing interactive experiences;
  • interactive Storytelling;
  • textual content production with generative AI for cultural professionals;
  • augmented reality and 3D production for the enhancement of sculptural or mosaic heritage.

Who it is addressed to

The courses, each lasting 3 hours, are developed to improve the skills of staff of the Ministry of Culture and other public administrations, staff of public and private cultural institutes, businesses and professionals in the field, and undergraduates and researchers at universities and academies.

Certificazione Open Badge

The free courses (upon registration and enrollment at dicolab.it/hub/emilia-romagna-marche ) provide certification with Open Badge, the digital certification standard of acquired knowledge and skills used at the European level and expendable in all European and national venues.

Credits
