What it is about

The first six months of training activities by the Emilia-Romagna and Marche HUB – Dicolab. Cultura al digitale have just ended. Running until June 2026, the HUB is offering in-person, advanced training courses using innovative and hands-on approaches, alongside networking events aimed at fostering exchange between cultural sector professionals, Ministry of Culture and other public administration staff, employees of cultural enterprises, university students and researchers.

Managed by G-Lab S.r.l. Impresa Sociale with Fondazione Golinelli, BAM! Strategie Culturali and Sineglossa, the HUB launched its second semester programme and delivered the final two courses of the first semester on Friday, 13 June, during the Creators Day event. This marked the conclusion of a training schedule that filled the HUB’s calendar from March to June 2025.

As with every end of term – especially when it comes to training activities – it’s time for some evaluations, considerations, and reflections on the road travelled so far.

How many people registered for the courses?

The partecipation and subscription to the courses offered by the Emilia-Romagna and Marche HUB not only grants access to internationally recognised Open Badge digital certification of skills, but they also allows participants to join an active community, always looking for new opportunities for exchange, learning and professional development in the digital transformation of cultural heritage.

In the first semester, the Emilia-Romagna and Marche HUB recorded a total of 242 participants across its various training courses.

What have we learnt?

Artificial Intelligence, data management, digital strategy and digital accessibility were just a few of the topics explored in the training programme offered by the Emilia-Romagna and Marche HUB. Tools such as strategic interviews, Human-Centered Design, the Digital Engagement Framework, Interactive Storytelling, as well as digital fundraising, 3D production and design marketing were not only topics of ongoing updates on the frontiers of digital transformation, but also cues for practical activities, workshops, discussions and exchange.

Despite the wide variety of topics covered, several participants chose to attend more than one course – a clear sign of sustained interest, engagement, and trust in the training initiative.

To foster and maintain an active, engaged community that stays up-to-date on digital transformation topics, the Emilia-Romagna and Marche HUB launched a LinkedIn group: a dedicated space for course participants, HUB partners, trainers, and learners to share reflections and ideas on culture and digital innovation, and to cultivate open, constructive dialogue together.

Among the many takeaways from these activities, one key insight emerged: knowledge gains real value when it becomes a space for meeting, dialogue, debate, and mutual enrichment.
