Reflections for the Responsible Adoption of Generative AI<\/em> is a research project carried out by the University of Turin and Sineglossa which explores the relationship between cultural institutions and generative artificial intelligence, offering a strategic compass for museums, archives, and libraries seeking to navigate expectations, opportunities, and risks associated with the adoption of generative AI.<\/p><p data-start=\"581\" data-end=\"810\">The report is based on a qualitative study that combines interviews with professionals working in the cultural sector and an analysis of case studies of projects already using artificial intelligence to enhance cultural heritage.<\/p><p data-start=\"812\" data-end=\"1000\">The objective of the research is to understand how AI is transforming the ways in which cultural institutions produce knowledge, mediate relationships with audiences, and design new forms of access to heritage.<\/p><p data-start=\"1002\" data-end=\"1028\">The research includes:<\/p><ul data-start=\"1030\" data-end=\"1455\"><li data-section-id=\"1yjrs83\" data-start=\"1030\" data-end=\"1146\"><strong data-start=\"1032\" data-end=\"1053\">State of the art:<\/strong> an analysis of perceptions and practices of cultural institutions regarding the use of AI.<\/li><li data-section-id=\"1kozfwf\" data-start=\"1147\" data-end=\"1331\"><strong data-start=\"1149\" data-end=\"1171\">Field experiences:<\/strong> case studies showing how museums, archives, and foundations are experimenting with AI-based tools for
