Il pezzo di roccia che \u2013 staccandosi \u2013 \u00e8 fuggito dagli Appennini milioni di anni fa, s\u2019\u00e8 fermato in riva al mare, di fianco alla spina dorsale d\u2019Italia, come fosse un cuore di pietra: \u00e8 il Monte Conero, l\u2019unico promontorio che interrompe le spiagge sabbiose del mare Adriatico dal nord-est alla Puglia<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

In the course of\u00a0collective experience of\u00a0exploring and narrating the territory<\/strong>\u00a0of the Conero Park,\u00a0ten\u00a0photographers<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0ten writers<\/strong>\u00a0reinterpreted its naturalistic, landscape and anthropological uniqueness in an authorial key.<\/p>

The artistic experience was led by the\u00a0writer\u00a0<\/b>Wu Ming 2<\/a>\u00a0and the contemporary photographer\u00a0Federico Clavarino<\/a>.\u00a0The\u00a0photographs and stories produced were collected in the\u00a0publication<\/a>\u00a0published by the Skinnerboox.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The story of a \"stone heart\"<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Over the course of several months, this group of explorers told the stories of a block of stone that, millions of years ago, broke away from the Apennines and came to rest in the east, on the shore of the Adriatic Sea. And if it is true that the Apennines are the backbone of Italy, then the fugitive block of Conero-the only rocky promontory in the middle of the sandy Adriatic coast-is its heart, a heart of stone.<\/p>

Federico Clavarino<\/a>\u00a0was born in Turin, Italy, in 1984, where he studied literature and writing. In 2007 he studied documentary photography at Blank Paper Escuela in Madrid, where he currently teaches. He has published The Castle (2016, Dalpine), Italia o Italia (2014, Akina Book), Ukraina Pasport (2011, Fiesta Ediciones), among others, and since 2011 his photographs have been exhibited in galleries throughout Europe. He defines his work as \u201ccoming from problems of location in space and time.\u201d<\/p>

Wu Ming 2<\/a>\u00a0is Giovanni Cattabriga, one of the founding members of the Wu Ming author collective. Since his debut in 1999 with the publication of\u00a0Q<\/em>\u00a0(signed Luther Blissett), Wu Ming has marked and continues to deeply mark the contemporary literary language in Italy. He has dealt with (psycho)geography, territory, and narratives in various articles and essays, and most notably in the Trail Cycle, a narrative quadrilogy of which two titles have been released:\u00a0The Path of the Gods<\/em>\u00a0(2010) and\u00a0The Luminous Path<\/em>\u00a0(2016).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Skinnerboox<\/a> is an independent publishing house focused on contemporary art photography. Through an essential aesthetic, it collects and disseminates the visions of the most significant contemporary photographers active in the international arena. In September 2016 Skinnerboox participated in Printed Matter\u2019s Art Book Fair at MoMA in New York.<\/p>
