loci<\/em><\/strong> which, according to those who live there, defines the territory in a unique way. According to the community editorial team who wrote the guide, in the Terre del Reno, Setta e Sambro, the &#8220;spirit of the place&#8221; is captured in the concept of <strong>being <em>brigoso<\/em><\/strong> &#8211; a quality that runs through the landscapes and the communities that inhabit them. <em>Brigoso<\/em> means arduous, <strong>difficult, complicated<\/strong>, but &#8220;taking the trouble&#8221; (<em>prendersi la briga<\/em>) also means committing oneself, embracing complexity, <strong>inventing solutions<\/strong> and <strong>self-organising<\/strong>. It is a condition born from the constraints and possibilities of the Apennines, and reflected in the choices of those who decide to live and stay in these places.<\/p><p>The three itineraries in the guide cross the <strong>valleys of the Reno, Setta and Sambro <\/strong>and are conceived as tools for exploring the territory from different perspectives.
