Activated in the school year 2024\/2025, the project has involved more than <strong>200 students of 4 high schools<\/strong> <strong>in the province of Ancona<\/strong>, articulated in workshops, talks, urban regeneration interventions and outdoor experiential activities.<\/p><p>Echoes is part of the <strong>educational offer of sustainability projects for schools by Sineglossa<\/strong>, with a replicable model focused on active participation and building skills to face the challenges of the 2030 Agenda.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bf91c2c elementor-widget__width-auto elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"bf91c2c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"70\" height=\"25\" src=\"https:\/\/sineglossa.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Barretta-gialla.svg\" class=\"attachment-full size-full wp-image-16904\" alt=\"\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8351e01 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"8351e01\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Workshops at school<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5e0434c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5e0434c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The <b>Echoes Lab<\/b>, the very heart of the project, are training courses which aim to transform the school space into an <b>experiential learning environment<\/b>, overcoming the traditional approach to environmental education.\u00a0 The Echoes laboratories offer practical tools to help students move from an anthropocentric, human-centred approach to an ecosystem approach where man and nature, technology and culture, all coexist in harmony and cooperate for the well-being of ecosystems themselves.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-faabd32 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"faabd32\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Echoes Labs provide:<\/p><ol data-sourcepos=\"9:1-15:109\"><li data-sourcepos=\"9:1-9:108\"><strong>Participatory introduction<\/strong> on what an ecosystem is and what it means to adopt an ecosystemic approach.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"10:1-10:263\"><strong>Space exploration and mapping:<\/strong> The class actively observes its own environment (school or neighborhood) through <strong>sensory perception<\/strong>, <strong>active listening to spaces<\/strong>, and attention to all elements, living and non-living, that interact within the ecosystem.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"11:1-11:188\"><strong>Project work ideation (phase 1):<\/strong> Representation of the observed ecosystem (present ecosystem), highlighting the connections between human, natural, material, and immaterial elements.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"12:1-12:79\"><strong>Sharing of present ecosystems:<\/strong> Each group presents its work to the class.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"13:1-13:163\"><strong>Gamified and interactive activity<\/strong> on the meaning of <strong>sustainability<\/strong>. Sharing of personal reflections and opinions, with an informal and guided discussion.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"14:1-14:197\"><strong>Project work ideation (phase 2):<\/strong> Groups design an idea for the regeneration of the explored space, proposing solutions that consider the thresholds of environmental and social sustainability.<\/li><li data-sourcepos=\"15:1-15:109\"><strong>Final project administered at the end of the activity<\/b> speak for themselves. On a sample of about 190 students:<\/p><ul><li>95% <b>felt involved <\/b>during the workshop.<\/li><li>87% <b>perceived an improvement in their ability to work <\/b><b>in<\/b><b> group<\/b>.<\/li><li>79% said <b>they had changed their perspective <\/b>on the concept of sustainability.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element During the Echoes Lab, the classes of Informatics and Telecommunications explored the outside of the school building and devised proposals for the restoration of spaces, based on the sustainability <strong>Circolo Il Pungitopo Ancona<\/strong>;<br \/>\u2022 restoration of a green area with planting of shrubs, aromatic herbs that attract pollinating insects and birds, and wall installations with The talks, addressed to about <strong>400 students<\/strong>, introduced the idea of <strong>vegetal intelligence<\/strong> as a metaphor and tool for generating innovative and sustainable solutions data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Echoes project has proposed, in addition to workshops and talks, the Echoes walkscapes: <strong>ecosystemic walks<\/strong> open to the public, realized in collaboration with <strong>Legambiente Marche<\/strong> and<strong> Il Pungitopo.<\/strong><\/p><p>These are walking trails, both urban and naturalistic, designed <strong>to increase ecological awareness<\/strong> and facilitate direct contact with ecosystems, stimulating a sense of belonging and responsibility towards inhabited places.
