(Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) careers are considered to be <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europarl.europa.eu\/RegData\/etudes\/STUD\/2015\/542199\/IPOL_STU(2015)542199_EN.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the jobs of the future<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and around 7 million new STEM jobs are expected by 2025 in Europe.\u00a0<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, there is a worrying underrepresentation of women in STEM: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unesco.org\/en\/articles\/new-unesco-report-sheds-light-gender-inequality-stem-education?TSPD_101_R0=080713870fab200015d15278ceb718dd6f8df9c413e4902a049c55623470d3ac187c2083bad60e2b08f797e853143000d25f06cd353a7abbbdd6bb17c534ec2a78f300a03d1d65277f33802e8bc4d3d3d8b229525cf71dc3b8f8b19d8cf5a2f1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to <\/a><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unesco.org\/en\/articles\/new-unesco-report-sheds-light-gender-inequality-stem-education?TSPD_101_R0=080713870fab200015d15278ceb718dd6f8df9c413e4902a049c55623470d3ac187c2083bad60e2b08f797e853143000d25f06cd353a7abbbdd6bb17c534ec2a78f300a03d1d65277f33802e8bc4d3d3d8b229525cf71dc3b8f8b19d8cf5a2f1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UNESCO<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, only 35% of all students enrolled in STEM-related fields are women and only 28% of all researchers worldwide are women.\u00a0<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While the demand for STEM-related positions in the labour market will continue to grow, what is lacking is a large pool of talent and a variety of concepts and ideas that can lead to innovation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7cd37be elementor-widget__width-auto elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"7cd37be\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"70\" height=\"25\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3><b>How Art Can Bridge the Gender Gap<\/b><\/h3>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-254a28e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"254a28e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recognition of women&#8217;s creative abilities in STEM is an innovative initiative that recognises their key role in driving growth and promoting inclusivity.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In fact, by ensuring equal opportunities in STEM education and careers, we pave the way for new perspectives and pave the way for a sustainable future.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sineglossa.it\/en\/projects\/westeam\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WeSTEAM project<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, funded by the EU through the Erasmus+ programme, actively promotes the STEAM (STEM + Arts) approach among women in STEM fields, emphasising the development of creative skills.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By investing in the educational process and encouraging artistic thinking, the project aims to capture the attention and curiosity of women, promoting their engagement in STEM subjects and increasing their chances of employment in high-level positions in the ICT labour market once they graduate.<br \/><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the WeSTEAM project, Sineglossa was responsible for <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">structuring the <a href=\"https:\/\/sineglossa.it\/en\/tools\/westeam-skills-framework\/\">skills framework<\/a>. It was the result of research conducted through focus groups with STEM students and artists, which showed that the artistic creative process and the scientific one have many common elements, starting with the 4 stages into which the two kind of processes can be divided:<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f787c1f elementor-widget href=\"https:\/\/www.espronceda.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Espronceda Institute of Art and Culture<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> published the <\/span><strong>WeSTEAM handbook<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, developed by Sineglossa in collaboration with WeSETAM project&#8217;s partners, which provides a set of training tools and exercises to increase key soft skills in female students attending STEM university courses.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The handbook provides 3 activities for each stage of the creative process (incubation, imagination, creation, evolution) with the aim of guiding participants through the steps necessary to develop and finalise a project (artistic or scientific) and to improve their skills during this educational and creative process.\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The activities in the toolkit will help the students develop soft skills such as analytical thinking, curiosity, open-mindedness, goal-oriented thinking, awareness, teamwork, observation and more.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some of the activities developed were previously tested during the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ars.electronica.art\/news\/en\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ars Electronica<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:
