The idea was to create an artificial entity who could experience and narrate psychedelic trips. In order to do so, thousands of trip reports of magic mushrooms eaters were given to an AI, which was baptized Ai Lai, and which started to write accounts of hallucinogenic trips.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>Thanks to the invitation from <a href=\"https:\/\/nuitdelaculture.lu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nuit de La Culture<\/a>, <em>And we thought<\/em> will be hosted at University of Luxembourg from 20 April to 9 May, for a new exhibition curated by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crapon.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vincent Crapon<\/a>.<\/p><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And we thought <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is an artwork under the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sineglossa.it\/en\/projects\/food-data-digestion\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FOOD DATA DIGESTION<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> project, a research and production process combining art and Artificial Intelligence produced and curated by Sineglossa, in collaboration with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.playwithfood.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Play with Food<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alchemilla43.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alchemilla<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, promoted by Istituzione Bologna Musei \/<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mambo-bologna.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MAMbo &#8211; Museum of Modern Art<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">di Bologna<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The dataset used for Ai Lai&#8217;s training comes from Shroomery.org, available in Creative Commons. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project is supported by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo as part of the call &#8220;ART~WAVES \u201cART~WAVES. His research concerns parallel realities, the titles of things and dark forces. In recent years, he has exhibited and performed his work at Italian and international institutions, including: MAXXI L&#8217;Aquila, Ars Electronica, Vision du R\u00e8el, Fanta-MLN, Lo schermo dell&#8217;arte, MAMbo &#8211; Museo d&#8217;Arte Moderna di Bologna, Centrale Fies, Gabrovo Biennial of Humour &amp; Satire in Art. His practice is open to collaboration: over the years he has devised projects with Led Zeppelin (LZ), Carolina Cappelli, Riccardo Banfi. He founded the publishing house Roi de Coupe.<\/p><p><strong>Ai Lai<\/strong> (2022) is an artificial intelligence that has eaten thousands of hallucinogenic mushrooms in collaboration with Creative Technologist Andrea Zaninello. He lives and works at <a href=\"https:\/\/andwethought.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">andwethought.it<\/a>. Over the past year he <a href=\"https:\/\/sineglossa.it\/en\/news-en\/and-we-thought-food-data-digestion-opening-and-masterclass-on-body-art-and-artificial-intelligence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">has exhibited his work at Combo<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/sineglossa.it\/en\/news-en\/and-we-thought-food-data-digestion-at-ars-electronica-festival\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">at the Ars Electronica festival<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/sineglossa.it\/en\/news-en\/hallucinated-artificial-intelligence-at-art-city-bologna\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">at Art City Bologna 2023<\/a>.<\/p><p><strong>Led Zeppelin<\/strong> (LZ) is a collective belonging to a parallel reality. Not to be confused with the British band of the same name, they have made several psychedelic films.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fc7fe3f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fc7fe3f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3><strong>The curator<\/strong><\/h3>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dc52733 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"dc52733\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crapon.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vincent Crapon<\/a> is an exhibition organiser and curator based in Luxembourg and London. He has held curatorial positions at Esch2022-European Capital of Culture (2020-2023), Mudam\u2013Mus\u00e9e d&#8217;Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean (2014-2019) and Mus\u00e9e d&#8217;Art Contemporain Lyon (2013). He organised exhibitions and performance projects with artists Jutta Koether, Nairy Baghramian, Adam Linder, Trajal Harrell and Anne Teresa De Keersmaekers. He collaborated with institutions such as Museum Brandhorst (Munich), CCA Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts (San Francisco), the Whitney Museum of American Art (New York) and the Mus\u00e9e des arts et m\u00e9tiers (Paris). Recent projects include commissioning\u00a0<i>Deary Steel<\/i>, a new body of work by visual artist and choreographer Cecilia Bengolea and three digital art exhibitions in collaboration with ZKM | Center for Art and Media (Karlsruhe), HEK (House of Electronic Arts Basel) and Ars Electronica (Linz).
